I recently graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. I graduated with a 3.63 GPA and I also gained 2 and a half years of research experience in an inorganic chemistry and an organic chemistry lab. I currently have 3 publications, which were obtained when working in my inorganic chemistry lab.
Experience
At Michigan State, I was offered a job teaching Cell and Molecular Biology and it opened my eyes to pursuing a job in academia, both conducting research and teaching at a university level. Despite graduating with a degree in chemistry, I have a pretty extensive background in biology; I have taken university biology, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, and physiology. I also currently do research in a molecular biology lab at Wayne State University.

Weekdays after 7PM, Saturday in the afternoon, Sunday in the evening

Hobbies
Every weekend I have the pleasure of working at the Michigan Humane Society taking care of the animals and making sure they find good homes. I also enjoy going out with friends to new restaurants and trying "trendy" foods, especially if I get to travel to a new city or state to experience them! Lastly, I really enjoy gardening in the summers because it gives me a chance to get some fresh air and sun while doing something I like.
