Experience
I have been employed at a private English language academy for one year. My responsibilities include designing curriculum specifically tailored to individual students. I have experience teaching students of all age levels (including adults) in a variety of subjects, with emphasis on middle- and high school level English. I am an alumnus of the Fulbright international exchange program, and have spent time teaching English in Hamburg, Germany. I also tutored students on an individual basis. I feel that my greatest asset as a tutor is the ability to get students interested in the subject matter. I feel that for many students, the biggest obstacle to learning is a lack of interest in the material. By learning about each student's individual strengths and interests, I am able to tailor my tutoring program to best fit their needs and keep them motivated.

Hobbies
I am very interested in music (although I play quite poorly) and writing, and love to combine the two when possible. I am also an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, and I enjoy outdoor activities and community projects.
