Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Majors in Accounting and Finance) from University of Detroit Mercy in 2008. I graduated with a 3.85 cumulative GPA and ranked among the top 10 peers of my graduating class. Additionally, I am a Licensed Certified Public Accountant and have successfully maintained my license for the last five years.
Experience
I work as a Supervisor at a public accounting firm where I specialize in audit and taxation. However, I have been tutoring all levels of collegiate accounting courses for nearly ten years, with a particular emphasis on Principles of Accounting, Managerial, and Intermediate Accounting courses. Evidence of my tutoring effectiveness can be found through my results. Among the dozens of students I have regularly tutored, all have successfully received a grade of "C" or better in their respective class. Additionally, test scores tend to rise by an average of 20% once a student hires me to serve as tutor. I assist students at all universities across Southeastern Michigan, but typically provide tutoring services at the Library/Learning Center at Macomb Community College's Center Campus. I am willing, however, to commute to other locations. For a brief time, I was hired by Macomb Community College and University of Detroit Mercy to tutor all accounting courses until I entered the professional working world. I regularly attend various continuing education requirements in order to stay aware of changes within the profession.
