Experience

I have two bachelor's degrees, a bachelor of Spanish Language and a Bachelor of Literature and Women and Gender Studies, both from Oakland University of Rochester Hill, Michigan. In addition to my educational background, I have worked with pupils as a peer mentor. I have also tutored friends and family. I currently work as a teaching artist. My job consists of doing residencies with teachers. Lastly, I have experience living and working abroad in Spain. I have been writing and speaking Spanish since the age of nine. I am available to help tutor in numerous courses, including Spanish, reading, math, and more. My teaching philosophy centers on my belief that you must have fun doing whatever you are doing. I make each of my sessions as fun for my students as possible. Outside of the classroom, I am a singer and songwriter. I also play piano and some guitar. So far, I have two albums of original music that have been released and numbers three and four are in the works. I also enjoy working with people in the outreach program I co-founded. We host creative and interactive workshops and other events.
