Summer Art instructor for children ages 6-12, several of which had learning disabilities, Student intern art therapist with elderly, student intern teaching art to youth in prison, student intern teaching art to elementary students at Greenfield Union and Butzel Elementary in Detroit. ACT score of 24, AP English score of 5 and 4 I want to be a tutor because I love teaching, especially one on one or in small groups so I can give each student the individual attention and personalized teaching they need to do their best. Since I have both ADD and dyslexia myself, I understand the challenges students with disabilities face in school and throughout life and have the patience and firsthand knowledge to come up with coping strategies for students with disabilities so they can be successful.
