Experience

I worked for America Reads as a tutor during my undergraduate career. I assisted students K-5 in reading and math. After graduation I worked at three different schools as a paraprofessional/tutor with children with ADHD, autism, and behavioral issues. I also was a substitute teacher for older grades 5-8. I assisted them assignments and taught them new strategies that would help then retain the information. I utilized research to help find the most effective interventions that would improve their knowledge of the material. I want to be a tutor because I adore learning new things and sharing my knowledge with the younger generations. Education is vital. Having too much knowledge is impossible.
