I began tutoring peers at Michigan State University while I was there earning my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. At MSU, I held a position as a teaching assistant in foreign language. After my undergraduate studies were complete, I went on to Davenport University to earn an MBA in Healthcare Administration. My life has brought me to many places around the world. When I was growing up, I lived on both the North American and African continents. I've traveled to countries such as Japan and Spain. As a result, I am very culturally aware. I have been around people of varying financial, cultural, and academic backgrounds. As a Psychology major, I am aware of the mind's inner-workings, and I embrace different styles of learning. Every person absorbs information in their own, unique way. It doesn't matter which subject you are working with, there is a method to solidifying the concepts in every individual mind. Sometimes, these methods may be a bit unconventional, but whatever it takes to accomplish the goal of learning is necessary. I am comfortable instructing at all levels. Recently, I have worked with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, tutoring elementary through middle school ages in various subjects.
