Education

I am a senior student at Bowling Green State University-Main Campus reaching for a BFA in Creative Writing, Pre-Law, Philosophy. Upon graduating in May of 2016, I will continue on to law school in the Fall of 2017 while hopefully becoming a Marine.

Experience

As a soon to be college graduate, I find it to be extremely important to be able to teach what I have learned. My studies include: creative writing, pre-law, and philosophy, each to various degrees. What I am most passionate about teaching is writing. I've discovered early on that not many college students write at a college level; my goal is to work with students in order to improve their writing skills prior to becoming college students. I am also willing to tutor current college students to improve writing skills! I have taken various writing classes aimed toward converting between different writing styles. My experiences with different writing styles varies, I've done plenty of poetry and fiction writing, but I am able to convert my writing to philosophical, more technical writing. For instance, most colleges require incoming freshmen to enroll into a general studies writing course. During these courses, students will experience a handful of different areas of essay writing. These styles may include persuasive writing and informative writing, which are two of the basic writing styles that students MUST be comfortable with. During my journey through college as an undergraduate student, I have taken the opportunity to tutor my peers and further expand their knowledge of writing, while continuing my own. As I will soon graduate and go on to law school, I feel that with my writing abilities I will be a successful law school student and future attorney.

Hobbies

I am a very adventurous person! I enjoy outdoor activities such as camping and canoeing. During the winters I spend a lot more time reading and working on my poetry and fiction pieces. I also enjoy bike riding, longboarding, and walking.
