I have B.A. in Criminal Justice minor in communications, Diploma in Radio and Television Communications, and M.A. in Forensic Psychology, research track. I have always been great with reading and writing, creatively and academically. I tested out of english in college which allowed me to explore different styles of writing. I love helping people to learn and understand words and how they can lead you, tell a story, and show expression. I have tutored youth an taught youth how to use words both academically and for expression. In tutoring we focus on proper grammar, punctuation, spelling, sentence structure, and vocabulary. In creative writing or broadcast writing I help the student focus on telling a story through words so that the audience can imagine what is being read. I have a passion for words and language that allows me to help others excel and be there best with their written talents. I have worked with youth through young adults for almost 15 years in various forms of academic learning including tutoring and college prep. I have also started and led afterschool programs with a tutoring focus or component. I love to work in groups and have worked with groups from 5-10 but I also work one on one when needed. My style is to adjust to the student so that they feel comfortable and can do their best. My years of experience have taught me how to adjust to the needs od the student. Not only do I focus on writing and reading, I also help students understand efficient and effective ways to research, how to work independently, and how to ask the right questions. I am available to help middle school through young adult and adults when needed.
