Education

I grew up in Idaho. I'm 25 years old. I have a bachelor's degree of International Studies from the University of Idaho, with a minor in Spanish. I studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina my junior year. I served an 11 month term with AmeriCorps.

Experience

I recently finished a term as an AmeriCorps member, working for a non profit law firm. I'm now working on getting into law school, while working part time for a non profit organization called Ghana Think Tank (which is why I moved to Detroit). I've always enjoyed reading and writing, and would consider those my strengths. I believe that instilling a passion for learning at a young age is important in modern society. I'm patient, but know how to work hard. I've spent time tutoring younger family members, and enjoy working with kids of all ages and abilities.

Hobbies

I love to travel. I've moved around the US and lived in Massachusetts, Idaho, Montana, and now Michigan. I've backpacked Europe, South America, and much of the United States. I started out my college career in Secondary Education, wanting to teach high school. Eventually, my interest in world politics convinced me to switch to International Studies. This past year I've been working for Montana Legal Services Association, helping low income Montanans access the legal system. I'm currently studying for the LSAT and hope to attend law school next fall.
